Hi classmates, my name is Eric Morales and I am a junior majoring in Video Production. I am 20 years old and my main dream goal to achieve is to be a fitness trainer or actor. My ethnicity is Puerto Rican and Portuguese. Since I was little I had played basketball and baseball my whole life. I had played baseball on the Rutgers-Newark team for 2 years and then something happened. I got injured pretty badly and couldn't finish the year strong with my team. Once I had been injured, I started getting into lifting/rehab to improve on my overall health. With that, I started to develop a passion for lifting at the gym and beginning a healthy diet. Ever since I had been transforming my body like never before and continue to pursue my dream.
The best way to describe my personality is that I'm very outgoing and energetic. I love getting to meet new people and interact with them. I just love having a good time and enjoying life because life is too short to not have fun or to be stressed out about something that's really not that important. I try to take advantage of every opportunity I receive because you may never get that opportunity again. My family is extremely precious to me because without them, I wouldn't be where I am without them. I am an only child and live with my mom and dad. Many people think that I'm lonely or too myself but I have a cousin that lives with me on the 3rd floor of my apartment and I've been with him since day 1. I consider him my younger brother and would do anything for him.
I decided to do Video Production because I always wanted to know how to edit videos. Most of my time at home, I would be on Youtube watching videos of "day in the lives" of these fitness athletes and wonder how they edited their videos. The film that inspired me to pursue fitness was Creed 2. Michael B. Jordan had transformed his body like no other and I wanted to do the same. His trainer had a 1 year program to help change your body in which I participated in. Sure enough a year later, through all the blood sweat and tears, I had done what I never thought was possible. On my instagram, ericm72699, I posted my 1 year transformation tagging Michael B. Jordan's trainer because it was his program I followed that got MBJ in that shape. My heart dropped when he actually responded to my post and put it on his IG story. It was a great way to end the year. My experience with that just opened my eyes and made me want more instead of been satisfied where I'm at.
