Hello, my name is Michael Oliphant. I'm a 23 year old graphic design student and artist working toward my degree. People often describe me as funny and outgoing, however I view myself as the opposite. Most of the time, if I'm not around friends, I'm quiet and reserved. I'm would describe myself as a positive pessimist. This is because I tend to view things from a negative perspective, and I realize that life is crazy and I don't have control over most things. So, in most cases, I just go with the flow. I enjoy reading manga, and watching anime, and those two mediums have had a big impact on my art and my life. Music is also an art medium that inspires and motivates me. I enjoy pondering existential topics, like life and the universe. I try to see controversial topics from all points of view, even though that can be very hard at times.
